October Meet - Sunday 19th

Dear All,

Sorry I've been very quiet lately. Suffice it to say that the planning application from my new "neighbour" for a 7.3m prison wall alongside my bungalow was submitted after all. He in fact submitted it the very next day after "being very keen" to get my honest opinion on an extension he was "thinking of building". I've discovered some horrendous things since, which a) I can't go into here on a public forum, and b) you really couldn't make up.

The research and the objection preparation has consumed every bit of my time for the last three weeks. But I think I've covered every angle, and I should have at least 15 other objections from neighbours going in - the tw@t was stupid enough to claim on the form that it wouldn't be visible from any public highway, but it is - which neatly gives valid planning grounds for villagers other than me to object .....

I'm off to the Classic & Motorcycle Mechanics Show in Stafford this weekend, and intend to get absolutely pi$$ed with some old biking chums. So I'll be missing my own meet - but you're welcome to assemble without me!

Cheers

Going to try for it in my bucket of bolts! Should imagine I won't arrive will all of the bits I leave home with - but the tax runs out end of Nov so should get some car time in for this year.

Anybody else up for it, weather doesn't look too bad?

Don't park too close to me in case something falls off on to your paint...

If I'd known I was going to be so thirsty this morning I'd have drunk more beer last night.
