Hi Mark
Have you got a side on pic of the diff/propshaft flange? That is the easiest way of telling type A from type B.
Deflex (orange) bushes are the cheapest but quite often need 'modifying' to fit. Whereas Powerflex bushes (blue) are a lot dearer but do fit very well (apparently, not tried em myself as i went for cheapskate route).
You can still get std void bushes from autofactors.
Have you given up on modding rear axle now?
I'll be in wednesday from 4.30PM.
Cheers
Kevin
PS How good are the brakes in your viper and have you any pics of the pedalbox?

Axle

Hi Kev.

Any idea where I can get the Blue Bushes, I have looked in the Europa catalogues etc but cannot find anything that is Cortina related. I don't really want to put the original void bushes in.

My brakes are superb, it has a servo, but was considering taking it off, it is very easy to lock the wheels. I have a Bias valve on the rear, which puts more force to the front, it works very well.

I will send you a photo of the pedal box, it is a Ford Searra unit, works well and has a nice feel and not set off to one side.

I am in Goole on Thursday, I am thinking of visiting after work on Thursday evening, say 6pm ish. Got to navigate the M18 and A1M, with the road works it's going to be a mare. Hopefully TOMTOM can take me another way. I will be getting on the M18 at Junc 7 the Thorne turn off, then a short run to Donny.

Hi Mark
Try :-

Powerflex Uprated Suspension Bushes - car polyurethane suspension bush, bump stops & exhaust mounts. Bushes: wishbone, anti-roll bar mount, track control arm, beam mount, TCA, shocks, dampers, springs

Very scarey price compared to deflex (nearer £36 for front end), but rumour has it they do actually fit without modification.
We are only approx 1 mile from J36 on A1/M.
I am dead jealous about your brakes, i am going to have to look at ours again.
Hope to see you thursday.
Cheers
Kevin

Bushes

I cannot take the credit for building it, but I have had to do lots of tweaks. The pedal arrangement as far as I know is a combination of Ford Fiesta, Cortina and Sierra so by definition is modified. I had lots of notes/photos etc with the car showing the build process.

If you look at this web site, it gives a good idea of the build and a video of my car hurtling around a dis-used airfield.

Regards

Mark
