Smile At last, first run out in 6 months

At last, first run out in 6 months. After several months of work/truma!!! I got my Cobra up the road for a run. Managed to get the clutch unstuck, thanks for every ones help. Gave it some beans in 1st gear and then wacked into 2nd, a big bang later and the clutch was free, which left me to take it up the road for a blast. I had forgotten just how good this car is and what a wonderful noise it makes.

Thanks to everyone for there help and encouragement.

Kev, I am up on Wednesday night, fancy a curry????

Hi Mark
Sorry only just seen your post.
I usually scour the Viper part of the site, but must have missed it.
I'm glad you are starting to warm to the tempermental beast again .
When are you about in April?
We are off to Stoneleigh hopefully, so am hoping to see some Vipers (incl. yours) there.
Cheers
Kevin

Hi Kev.

Not up again in April, but I am up on the 6th May. Could go for that curry then.

I do plan on taking the Viper to Stoneleigh, must be mad!!!

Attached are some photos of my Viper with some stickers on it. I have just fitted a grill, will take some photos later.

Out this weekend with the Bristol Classic cars for a ralley in a local village. First time it's ever been out in public!!

Hi Mark
Looking realy nice, those white wheels do set the red off a treat.
Give me a shout about May (email or at Stoneleigh) and we will arrange this curry.
We are looking at Stoneleigh on the Monday, be staying a couple of hours around midday.
Hope weather holds out for Bristol and make sure it is not Bristol balloon festival time of year, M5 gets jammed up like hell around then.
Cheers
Kevin

Hi Mark
There seems to be a huge hot air balloon festival during the summer (august), so hopefully they only do 1 a year. We took 8 plus hours (instead of 3 1/2) to get from Donny to Taunton during that festival. Traffic was horrendous.
So does that mean you will be getting a remortgage for extension on house as apposed to selling Viper?
I will pm no.
Cheers
Kevin
PS Sorry we will miss you Sunday.

Hi Kev.

I know the festival your talking about, it's a great day out. If you know the local area it's easy to bypass all the traffic.

Sadly going to increase the mortgage and not sell the Cobra. It was my wife that insisted that I didn't sell the Viper, saying that I need something to play with, and that all work and no play makes me a dull boy!!

Looks like I am going to take the Cobra to Stoneleigh, we did a local show this weekend and it ran like a dream.

See you soon.

Mark

Manifolds

Monster Chub!!

I use MGBV8 manifolds, these are 4 into 1 and are fairly restrictive and prone to cracking. Just about to sustitute for P6 "Hotrod" cast Iron items, these are also block hugging. The steering column gets in the way with any other type.
