    The best way to kill fuel pumps is to over heat them. Usually caused by dodgy connections or crap in the fuel tank.

    I had a similar issue with a beemer many years ago. Changed the main fuel pump and the lifter pump in the tank.
    It ended up being a 30 quid fuel...
