Looking for oil cooler kit Chevi 350 (AK 427 Cobra)

    Dear AK-Cobra owners,

I’m searching for oil cooler kit for a Chevrolet 350 engine (5.7 liter) for my AK 427 Cobra.
Does someone know which type kit would be the best one to use for this type of engine.

Maybe someone has this type of kit laying around, and would like to help me.

    I’m living in The Netherlands.
    Looking forward to your responds.

    Kind regards,
    Ron Sonntag.

Ron, I am not aware of specific kits but all the components are available from Mocal. I had a 350 with an oil cooler setup, if you pm me I will happily tell you what it comprised of.

Hi Ron, unless you intend to use as a serious track day car, there's no need for a oil cooler. But then there's the Look.

Clive is quite right and in addition - if you are going to fit an oil cooler you definitely need to include a thermostat too. Think Automotive (https://www.thinkauto.com/) will have all the bits you need

    .

I was running a bit hot, so fitted a cooler. I used the following sandwich https://www.speedflowshop.co.uk/moca...-v8-3719-p.asp and had speedflow make the hoses, and also bought the silver painted cooler from them. Nice to deal with.

Just a heads up regarding the hoses and fittings.

I've used torques fitting bought via eBay. But have recently found out they do a discount via the UK v8's forum if you message them directly to order outside of eBay.

Fittings are good quality and cheaper than speedflow ones.

    Cheers
