    What Coolant

Its about time i filled up my new build with some coolant, its a Chevy small block, cast iron head and block. With quite a few types on the market now , some water based , some not water based, its a case of choosing a coolant for an engine which is most probably not going to be started on a regular basis.
    Any recommendations welcome.

Blue antifreeze, 50:50 with DI water.
I buy online from Smith Alan in 20 litre drums and replace every two years, no issues in decades on all of my vehicles.
Pink stuff will cause rust and sludge no end with our older engines and mixtures of brass, aluminium and cast iron.

I use blue antifreeze flush out every two years with cast heads and back flush through bottom hose.

Allows use Carparts4less as they are always cheaper for the same product. The are same company as Europarts !

I always search on Europarts first as they have a better search facility on there site then paste the product code into the search at Carparts4less.

    Over £15 so free delivery.

I've used this stuff in mine 73 Chevy block with Ali heads did a good bit of checking first that it'd be ok.

OK So got some blue stuff and have put 5 litres in and its barely registering in the header tank, so how much more do i put in, I do not want to overfill it so i reckon about half way up the header tank should be ok ?. The engine is yet to run so there may be a level drop when the engine is running.
    Any comments/recommendations appreciated.

It will take a lot more than 5 litres more like 10
