    Finishline Grommets

I'm going to order some grommets for the front overiders/quickjacks from finishline.
Thy are $18 a set plus tax an import duty etc. If anybody wants some let me know. We can save a bit on postage...

I bought some from them recently.
    They're nice parts.
I warn you now though that Finishline is not what it used to be since the new owner has taken over.
Expect to be kept waiting for the parts.

Yes heard a lot of bad reports from Finishline of items not turning up and bad communication with very long delays. I think a lot of the USA guys avoid them now. Real shame as they produce some nice stuff.
I would not trust a large order only on small items. Does Gerry @"Hawks" do them in the U.K.? Worth a ask.

There's another company called iconic parts that do them but the shipping is eye watering...
    I think I'll give hawk a try..

I was starting to think about grommets for my car now it is being painted. I understand the proper ones are a tailored fit but has anyone managed to just use thin walled round grommets and simply fitted them into the oval hole ? Surely they form a fairly reasonable oval hole which looks tidy ?

Might be worth talking to these folk. The owner, Nick Acton, helped me out shipping some items from the states and seemed a good guy.

    Maybe this would help

Can't say what shipping or import fees would be but it will give you another resource.

    Thanks Paul.

Shipping is half the price of iconic parts so I think I'll order from them.
If anyone else wants a set please let me know. The cost of the grommets is $14 a set and shipping is about $50 dollars.
So if I can order a few sets the price would be reasonable.

Thanks Paul, they are cheap until you get to $50 shipping to the UK !!!!!! We certainly need a few of us to make it a sensible price.

About 10 of us would be nice....
I think they used to work out at about £50 from finishline after you paid shipping tax etc.
So if we could get a few interested it should be considerably cheaper than that.
