    Hi Guys,

New to the forum and looking at starting my Cobra adventure. I came across this kit for sale on eBay and had been interested although it is about 2 hrs from me so have been looking for info about the kit before driving all that way. Do any of you know much about AK kits from 2004? Were they a good standard? What donor parts did they use? What would be a good price / what is it worth? Anyone have a build manual I could take a look at? Any other advice or info greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks in advance

    Mike

    Hi Mike,
you should talk to Anthony at Absolute Horsepower.
He knows as much about building AKs as AK themselves.
I feel sure he can talk you through it.
Yes AKs are a fabulous kit and always have been.
There's not detail on that advert, but it looks like the cars suspension is all there?
Still a lot of money to spend for sure.
Assuming the suspension is complete and the engine is good.
The 7K asking price is about right in my humble opinion.

    Welcome Mike,

I have a 2009 AK here fully working and and on the road you are more than welcome to look at. The only difference to the one on Ebay is my engine and I have outboard brakes on the rear. They are good kits to work with and AK themselves are a great bunch. I am in Coventry by Junction 2 of the M6

Thanks for the replies, I pick it up next weekend so the adventure now officially begins. So excited. Where can I find all of the amazing info to help with the build? I might take you up on your advice Paul.
